Introduction

For generations, women have led calls for an end to the Korean War. War and militarization disproportionately impact women’s lives. Studies show that when women are involved in the peace process, resulting agreements are more successful and sustainable. Such efforts are promoted by feminist peacebuilders, who have a fundamentally different approach to peace and security that prioritizes dismantling structures of oppression, injustice, and militarism.

During #TrumpKimSummit in Hanoi, we captured the activities of Women leaders from the Nobel Women’s Initiative & Women Cross DMZ and created a topical documentary showcasing one part of the peace process to end the war in Korea.

The following video was created using footage provided by Korea Peace Now! The focus of this video is on feminist peacebuilders.

Their global campaign strives to educate, advocate, and organize for peace.
